Maddie Pierce, RN, BSN here, and I’m excited to share a new approach to celebrating your child’s birthday at The Pierce Academy!
We want to make these special moments meaningful while promoting creativity, development, and lasting enjoyment.
Rather than cupcakes, we’ll focus on fun, non-edible activities like Play-Doh, bubbles, sidewalk chalk, stickers, small coloring projects, and other hands-on crafts that will engage the children and create lasting memories.
Here’s how you can help make your child’s birthday extra special:
Bring a small activity for the class, such as Play-Doh, coloring pages, sticker, chalk or bubbles. These activities help children use their imaginations while developing important motor skills.
Healthy snacks like fruit, cheese, whole grain muffins or veggie trays can be brought in as an alternative to sugary treats.
This way, we continue promoting a healthier environment by minimizing artificial dyes and added sugars. This is completely optional!
There’s absolutely no pressure to bring anything—just suggestions for those interested, as parents have asked for ideas.
Rest assured, regardless of what’s brought in, the teacher will always make your child feel special with a birthday song and celebration.
Thank you for helping us create meaningful and healthy birthday experiences for our children!
Blessings,
Maddie Pierce
